milkshape modeling

i export the model from hmt then i edit it by just clicking verticies and dragging them to a new spot. i think that im not making any new ones but i am? because when i try to inject it it says there is more verticies or indicies?

In MilkShape just press F1 to select and then once selected press F2 to move them.

You shouldn't have any problems if you don't delete or add.

You have to select by vertex, extrude or move the vertex. You can't select by anything else.

Also, I found it makes it easier if you uncheck "Ignore Backfacing."

ok it imported but when i open halo and tested it the pistol on the ground was my new model but the one in my had was the regular. do i have to change another model for my hand?

yes, there is a first person model and third u did the third, ignore backfacing can screw u up so watch out, its for if u want to do not want to pick vertcies on the other side of the model, but if u want something semetrical u need to have that unchecked.

You have to change all the version of the model to make it look right from all distances.
