SNOWMOBILE HOG

check out the SNOWMOBILE HOG

the problem with it is that the wheels still turn, and when it turns the front skiis are like a 2x4 nailed to ur car tire. . . and then after dgetting up to full speed, the tires look like normal tires again

how can i stop the tires from spinning?
and how do i keep the tires from reverting back to their original state after hittin top speed?

thats lookiin good, u can replace the blurred tire effect in the bitmap with the regular tire bitmap just to get less of that spin look i believe

no, i dont really care about the blurred "look" of the wheel
wut happens is when u get in and drive, the front skiis dont stay flat on the ground, they kinda like spin in a circle as if there was a tire there and they were secured to the outside of a tire, understand. . . :?

some one please help me to make it so that the tires dont spin at all when u drive 8)

Hey, nice job, i like it, did you ise 3ds max 6? Well, if yes how do you import the model into halo using hmt3 , i always get an error that gives me three options...

details, continue, or quit

lol, thanks guys, and yes he is entitled to his opinion, i cant please everyone now

anb no i didnt use gmax or 3ds max, i had the hardest time using milkshape, but i fought thru it

does anyone knoe how to stop the wheels from spinning?

Well first off I really like your warthog, keep up the work. now about your tire problem, I understand what you want done; but I don't think it will work. The reason why is that, the tires have to move in order for the warthog to move also. If the tire is not rotating then it won't move like real phyics. The reason why I know this, is because I played with a skin on my warthog and found out that the tires really move. I first though that they did not move, it just gave you a blurred picture to act like it is moving. But really the tires do move, so by modding the tires to the skies that will make them move.

So lets say you locked them down so the front ones can't move, the power of the back wheels would have to be so great to keep the hog moving because all 4 tires are not moving.

I have a question, when you drive the hog does it bumb up and down as the tires rotate?

But there might be one way to do it. If you can somehow (and I don't think it is possable) but make it so the front and back tires are like the tank tires then it would not move like that. So if you program the tank tires to the back ones, that will give you the look of a track for the back, and do the same for the front. But on the front tires if you can program it so it acts like the tank tires, and then scale them done and streatch them out so it looks like skies it might work, because of them being so small you would not realize that they are tracks and they would not rotate because they are acting like the tank tires. Maybe just maybe it would work.

um i dont even know where to begin with puttin scorpion tires on the hog
and im gettin lots of different peoples ideas and stuff andsome people think it is possible to stop the tires from spinning, i dont think that the spinning of the tires is wut makes it move, i think it is proramming that makes them move, but i could be wrong so, i need more peoples help!!!

I also lightened the image... one thing people do alot is post dark HPC images... go read the news post if you want to see the lightened image

ok im going to help you buddy.
BTW it looks great

skinning he's not worried about at this point.
most important thing now is to get the wheels to stop spinning.
he can take out the blur. thats done.
but when the vehicle moves at all, the wheels move.
no matter what.
he needs the answer.

so posts your ideas i will try some and so will he.
ps i dont have his model but i have my own which im not releasing cuz he announced it first plus im working on my ak-47.

he needs feedback to keep his morale up, right?
and ideas to make it work.

yah, thanks virus, but i did finally get the wheels to stop spinning, i just need to figure out how to get the wheels to not change back to their original state when i get to top speed

EXAMPLE: like when the hog is siting still, u can see the skiis and the long tire, but when u get in and start to get up some speed, the tires change back to being regular tire . . dont know y

please help
