My second model

I can do the basic stuff but I have trouble adding detail such as in this model...Is there anyone out there who could give me some tips on that?
(See Below not my work just want tips to get good detail like that model)

Make sure to get hi-res reference pictures if you can. Your gun looks like it only has rounded edges on the sides, you have to go in and get the details of the gun, like in the pic you posted of the cool gun, the safety, grip, chamber, sights, and some other details are all modeled.

I don't know how to round the gun other than chamfering and that is why it looks like the edges are the only think rounded...I just don't know how to do it any other way.
EDIT: Oh and what do you mean by, "Go get the detals of the gun." Could you please be more specific. Thanks.

Here I just completely re-did the model because I wasn't happy with that last one....Also if someone could post a plane modeling tut it would be nice.
