hi, i have all the needed items to change the colours of items, but wher the fuk does this dds plugin go, i have saved the skin, when i go to open it it says 'could not complete this operation. Not the correct file type', wtf, i haven't a clue how to solve this, please help, please.

.dds needs to go in your adobe photoshop plugins folder

thanks, i got that working now, i have changed the colour, and the tutorials i am using say to find it again in HMT, where is it ? help . . .

you have to press import or something, select the dds file of the skin, and press open.

you beat me to the answer neo. lol.
yes, with HMT open find the file you will be replacing, click inject texture and then find your new file you made and hit open. it will then be visible. just close HMT and play!
