Importing .obj's as level meshes in Halo Xbox.

I have made a level in 3ds max, and was wondering if it's possible to export that map as a wavefront object, and then inject that object as the mesh for the level, and then change the skins after? I know you can export meshed to .obj using Sparkedit, but I can't get them back in.
