Gmax

I have just got gmax, and registered it, and i'm new to using it. Can someone tell me what exactly gmax can open, Halo wise, and how i can edit various models. Also, on another note, can you reccomend a program that can open Halo's .dds textures and doesn't eat 200+megs like some of the photoshop programs. Oh, by the way, i have Photoshop elements, but that doesn't open dds files.

to edit in photoshop u need the dds plugin look around there is a couple of threads about it

GMax can open .obj files (exported models). As for how to edit them so you can inject them back in you should probably check out Mono's model injection suggestions http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1391

where is the plugin for opening OBJ files for GMAX?

Look toward the bottom where the plugin name is Obj2Max. This should run work for GMax also.

hey kaptainkommie, that file only cantains help, where is the plugin inside that?

Scroll down and you'll see obj2max.zip....then again, inside the zip is a help file.
