Rocket Turret

Dont you think the covenet turret sucks? well I do. So I made a 3dsmax model its a rocket turret with working controls and a cool transparent control screen I hope you all like it
*btw* I dont have a good paint program so feel free to skin it *UV MAPS below*

That's a very cool thing there. The covenant turret sucks indeed, but this thing kicks ass.

k ive basically skinned all the main parts (rough drafts) but i just cant move on until i know what all the other parts r for

i have a VERY rough draft ready for ya on AIM when your ready... i wasnt sure which way everthing was facing so i just did basic colors and gradients... detail and revamping will be next but i need to know which way stuff faces!

is this like the covenent turret? if so .. cuuple of suggestions
1) Give it a more substantial base to rotate on...
2) if it fires rockets will they be covered? or open launch tubes... if open launch tubes, then model the rockets inside their tubes

the polycount looks pretty low so i dont se why not...
3) make the controls a tad bigger
just a few minor suggestions...
whats the polycount so far?
