what the hell am i doing wrong?!?!?!?!?

This is about the third failed map in a row. All i did was make the basic geometry with hills and a base\garage and for the base i followed the EXACT directions from the tutorial videos and yet i still get about 20 " Can't update edge" errors around the garage. If somebody with 3ds max thinks they can help me PM me and i will send you the files. This is really discouraging aand it usually only happens when i try to put in structures.
