Bump map tutorial

Can someone make some type of tutorial on how to apply bump maps...I know it's a noobish thing but I am almost done my master chief model and I found a bump map for it and I need to know how to apply it. Could someone please make one?

Here's mine, i decided i liked the camo bump more than the normal bump
