If ou send me the file in .3ds format, I could fix the dges if you like. I'm not sure if there is gmax to .3ds importer/exporter though. Just PM me. I'll do a search for one and post it here if I find it.
EDIT: Nevermind, export it as an autocad drawing, or .DXF, I can import it from there.

Gmax can't export to anything(by anything I mean anything that can be imported into 3dsmax) so your going to have to fix it yourself or some one that uses gmax will,if I have time I will, and I could do 3dsmax also, PM me, I might be able to fix the open edges.

I'm used to 3dsmax,but I think I can work with Gmax sinse they are very alike.

No, Gmax can export to .DXF, which is AutoCAD drawing format, is use that format to import BSP's from Halo 1 campaign. Just check my Successful bSP importation thread in the Skinning and modeling section. 3ds max can import .DXF, and I have already seperated parts of the halo 1 Campaign BSP to be used in maps. Gmax can import .3ds, but no export so it works all the away around.
Export to .dxf, from gmax, I import into 3ds max 7 from that, fix errors, and export back as .3ds, which he can import back in gmax.
Trust me I have gmax and 3ds max, I checked the import export thing, it works.

well to me gmax can only export MD3 unless there is a dxf plugin, but about 3dsmax importing I know that it imports dxf.You must have a different version I have 1.2,waht do you have? Are you sure you didn't use a separate plugin?(I have max so I could care less, just curious)

*sigh* Never mind... I got the import/ export things mixed up. Gmax can only import .DXF. Only thing it can export is Plasma .P3d. Discreet did everythign they could to make gmax a piece of crap. Plasma is a dead program, and that is the only Exporter available to gmax. 3ds max Can't import it either. Gm ax sucks SO bad. Just DL the 3ds max from somewhere...

Ha, I was right!

lol, That is why I said I could work with Gmax,I already knew it couldn't export, and max couldnt import.
I consider Gmax as a toy.
