I made the map foundation a while back and was wondering what everyone thought about it.

TEXTURES ARE ONLY PLACEHOLDER, Have not moved to phaze 2. No smoothing groups yet applied.

the image is decieving, the dark grey is actually the top of the structure, just odd lighting

was it foundation_beta? I LOVED that map! Its a great map, very well built and balanced for fun gameplay. I'm glad, and encourage you, to keep working on it. I don't want it to end up like so many other beta maps that had a lot of potential but never were taken past beta stage. H2-ifying the map would be the next big step. I'm sure that some cmt, kmt, or h2ce team members will help you a lot with your h2 content if you want. Keep up the good work man.

well apparently someone else has made foundation allready..... http://www.epg.epgservers.net/bb/index. ... wtopic=446 with ripped halo 2 textures, which makes me wonder if i could compare to it, and if i should keep going.

Keep going. Ripped content cannot be posted on this site, so yours many people will have as well.

I'd play it. I hate ripped stuff.

that pic with the ripped textures, the battle rifle is also ripped.
M457245 asked me to post that here as an update.

the foundation beta had one little flaw in there......the doorways to inside each room was too ow...seemed like i wouldn't get through.

id help u out if u need any help, id absolutely love it

im good at fixing errors in sapien and tool and stuff like that

a jeep can get through these doors, just like in halo 2

guys at halo 2 ce said they made one, so im probelly gonna look at making new things

Keep going with this project, if you finish this it will show you're more awesome than those rippers. In my opinion, wait, no, it's a fact.

Well since the whole foundation thing was allready made, i decided to make a map i call "Welcome to New Mombasa: CE"

hey i like ripping, but this stuff was all made by me or the halo 2 ce team, because im using the new mambosa scenery.










now lets here some comments


UPDATES

This first pic is the red base. On one side of that sign it will say "Welcome to New Mambasa" the other side with say "Welcome to Old Mombasa" ,or "You are now leaving New Mombasa.

yeah it was a typo in the paragraph, did u see the topic title?

Is it going to replace the origional bridge in New Mombasa with this 1, or this will be a completly new map?
