plugin problem for 3dmax

I put in the file from HEK in the plugin folder for 3dmaxs but it says it can't read it. WHy is that?

What version of 3ds max do you have?
For max 6/7 get blitkrieg here:

The one that came with the Hek is for 3ds max 5 and lower i believe.

HEK only comes with the version 5 plugin for 4,3,6/7 go to the link waverunner gave you and it's gonna say it can't read it if you don't put the 4 dll's that the download comes with in c:\windows\system32 and restar once you restart it should work.

To say that with easier-to-understand language...
1. Download the Version 6 Plugin of B;itzkraig for 3ds Max
2. Place the DLLs in your C:\Windows\System32\ folder*
3. Restart 3ds max
* If you are using an operating system other than Windows XP, you will need to restart your computer after this step.

I still can't open up any map files. i put the plunins in the system folder and the bli. in the max plugin folder but still can't read them.

So if i restart my com then when i run it it cn read the map files?

its worth a try!
just fool around with it, restart max, resart ur computer, make sure the dlls are in the right spot..
that kinda stuff
