Ok, When I followed the HEK video tutorial to make my first map with PSP8, all went well, and when i ran tool bitmaps cmd it warned me that something about being created as dxt1, ergo, you open gurilla and change the to compile as explicit aplha.... did that, then the compile went fine.... WELL NOW I am doing the exact same thing in PSP, but when I run tool it creates it as with color-key transparency by default and I do not get the warning about DXT1, I still change it to explicit aplha and in sapien you can see that it found the aplha channel ok, however, my maps do not show up in the map list when you go to play it.... Please help

did you compile? When you use all of the scenario and tool makes it into a map file? Use HEKter to compile. Its easy as heck.....just click compile and show all scenarios and click "map name".scenario.....if tis helps

Yup i compiled... have serveral maps ive made that all work, this one named race, i dont see any conflicts due to the name, and the only difference from my other maps is the stupid alpha chanel thing. even completely rebuilding this map and naming it dtr, compiling etc.... the .map file is in the maps folder, but no listing for it in the game

it wont let you make maps named Race or anything, because that is a gametype.

I tried it once lol

ok then... what about dtr ??

What about the name DTR then ???? I made sure that I set the sky as a multi player and that I had set the starting locations type 0 to all games...

sure you can try that, but you will have to remake the map with that name.

try making spawn points for all games but WITH index of 0 and 1

Make the alpha channel a VERY VERY VERY dark shade of grey, ALMOST black. Don't make it exactly black.

fixed it
