The first three parts of the tutorial are finished and online. The final two will be added shortly. The tutorial also goes into detail about how to make your own textures from images that wouldn't normally tile very well in-game.
If you have questions, spot any mistakes or have suggestions on how to make the tutorial better, post them in this thread.

This is an amazing tutorial (have it all printed). I'm going to ask if a moderator can sticky this in the Skinning and Modeling section (for i believe that is where it would belong).
(and to those who would say, you ARE a mod, sticky it!) I don't have power here, yet. I have to work hard to gain other forums in my control.

Well, it is about a type of skinning. So i think it would be in the Skinning and Modeling section. There is a topic like this in there that you could maybe sticky.

Which part exactly? I want to make this as user friendly as possible.

The final section, 'Advanced Bump Mapping' is now online. It's a bit different, since I hope you've learned enough from the other sections. It's designed to make you think for yourself and inspire you to come up with your own methods, as opposed to following another step-by-step tutorial that will teach you only one specific way of doing things.

I PMed him askign if he would want to make a new topic With the link to the front, explaining what the tutorial contains and is for. Then that can be stickied to elimate scrolling to see what has been released.
I think it owuld just be a better idea
