Thats because the CE and the PC map files are different.. you can manually change them, or there might be somthing that does it for you to convert a CE map to a PC map.

the program that converts a CE map to PC map doesn't work for crap.

Do it manually

how would you do it manually?

if i told you, i would have to kill you

lol, i can only do it for people if they truly need it, and have to pass my test. Because there is nothing i hate more than people who steal stuff, and i don't want someone to steal models.

Look, HMT is a third party program made by Monoxide to edit Halo BEFORE the Editing Kit was released. He moved onto that. HMT was never supposed to actually keep on going after the HEK, but he was forced to release the source code because of users, and the program HMT 3.5 which made Halo "modding' as they say easy as hell.

Back in the day, it was an accomplishment to actually get an SP-MP conversion, and a different biped in the map.
Now, no one cares, and I'm actually glad, because it can end this map hacking for good.

People need to realize that even the creator of HMT is finished with it. From his eyes, it looks like a piece of crap compared to what else is out there.

It is the best there is for HaloPC, though.

There is just a big problem with it, Halo was never meant to be edited with third party programs. The real ones that were used to make it have been released, and they blend straight into the game engine.
HMT was cool back a year ago, but now it's dull. If you have Halo PC, then it is truly known that you can get the HEK. (unless you have Windows 98...I mean, who the heck uses that :D )

Yes, but still. People cannot just edit HaloCE maps. HEK uses things for HaloCE, not PC. Henceforth PC is still using HMT as its main program.

The tools in HEK are being used to make far more advanced plug-ins for HMT but still. Many people do not wish to get HEK, because it cannot be installed unless you have HaloCE. And many people don't have enough room on their computer for Both. Also, many people do not wish to play CE.

Yes, the HEK is the official tools for Bungie. They MADE Halo, including Halo PC/Halo XBox/Halo CE/AND Halo 2 (updated HEK we don't have).

So, the people who use HMT are just hacking Bungie maps to get to whatever they want.

The results suck, their so called "models" come out with stretched verts, no custom UV's, NOTHING original at all.
It's just HEX editing and "injecting" as they call it.

I don't support the use of HMT, OR the use of ripped content, even in CE. I never said I supported the work of Coag, it just looks good. I don't make ripped content, I make custom.

I prefer people who model their own stuff, but if the result is fun then I dont care, like on the BF mod, which is probably illigal, it will probably be fun as they will have lots of stuff.

probly is illegal lol

but we are giving credit for all there stuff and were not selling any of it...

Yes, but we are making it public.

Anyone can grab hold of it once it is public, and everyone is to blame.

That's the big problem.

I really respect the H2CE team, because they completely used all custom content. Pretty amazing if you look at it, and it looks better than most other H2 modifications for CE.

What makes me really sick is the fact that people still think the old Nitrousoxide Halo 2 PC mod is the greatest mod ever. I don't think they ever played Zanzibar yet...
