Animated Elevator

Hey, I'm trying to make an elevator that moves with an animation. I don't want this animation to occur by default, but I want two of them: one to make it go down, and another to go up. I want those accessable but not occuring by default. How can I do this, as I am a bit of a newbie at animation? Can I use HMT to extract the model of the elevator from one of the singleplayer levels?

Im sure there is somethign hidden in the forums already about this, i think I saw a topic yesterday. Im kinda interested in animating things to so if I see it again ill post a link.

so how do u make a elevator or something that you have to use a switch to activate, like on aotcr with the elevators

You can't have a switch, that requires triggers which are singleplayer only.

just make 2 small elevators, 1 going up while the other is going down. That way you dont have to wait long for the elevator.

I hate elevators anyway, you can never get on them unless you got some sweet ping..

that sucks, hey is it possible to make like mini single player games? Like where an objective is to save marines trapped somewhere and you have to fight through AI in a custom map to get their. That would be sweet designing single player games!
