Eh.... I'm sure you already got this request from somebody else. (no doubt about it) I'm hoping to be more part of this HaloMods.com and I do want to learn how to mapping. I already downloaded 3Dmaxs and some other programs. I was wondering if somebody can send me messages at AIM: red2kic so you could tutor me and give me step-by-step? Something like that? I'm willing to try the best of my ability to make you guys some awesome detailed maps. Im sure my first map wouldn't be, tho.

LMAO!! Hey sonictag! Eh.. I got something to tell you... Pie already did. Here you go.

Rich Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients
pastry for 9-inch pie
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup canned or mashed cooked pumpkin
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup half-and-half
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons apricot brandy
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground mace
2 tablespoons finely chopped candied ginger
whipped cream (optional)

Instructions
Roll pastry to 1/8-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Place in a 9-inch pie plate; trim off excess pastry along edges. Fold edges under, and flute. Prick bottom and sides of pastry with a fork. Bake at 400 degrees F for 3 minutes; remove from oven and gently prick with a fork. Bake an additional 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Combine eggs and next 8 ingredients; blend well. Pour into cooled pastry shell. Sprinkle top with candied ginger. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes. Garnish pie with whipped cream, if desired.

Now... Pie was wise, he changed some of the ingredients because he wanted his rich pumpkin pie to be remained secret. So you may thought you have completed the pie... but it won't taste like pie, lol

Yeah Pie! What 'bout his skin?!? Lol, I actually have no idea what he is talking 'bout, apparently some skin for vehicle. I guess Pie is busy boy after all, since I know he is only 16 and he is elite modding! Dang! Look at me, I'm 18 and got free time on my hands! By the way, you are 16, right? At least I'm not sure, I remember roaming around the halomods forums

Yeah, and how heck did you learn halo modding??? I don't think this will be easy task for me, tho. But I'm willing to try to learn everything as my brain can hold it in

I think somebody should make a tutorial out of everything (I mean everything) and make it sticky in hope of removing same posts for you guys, right?)

lol, yea, i don't know a thing about actually putting maps into Halo CE...then again, i never looked

by red2kic
So do I. I mean I did look around but there is bunch of useless topics that people kept posting when they are stuck. I did download CE and play some new maps that came with CE, but I couldn't play the maps I downloaded. I did put it in the right folders "HaloCE/maps" and rename the file to bloodgulch.map but it never work, it just popped up detecting missing or corrupted files, please reinstall. If I put the maps out of the folders, it work fine.

ok, did u unrar the files? and you don't rename them. why would you even think of doing that?

1. download the map file

2. unrar the file so you see a .map file

3. keep it as is (DON'T RENAME IT  ) and put it in your halo ce maps folder.

4. start halo ce and play.

5. enjoy, der!

Oh my! What a glorious instructions! I already attempted that, Im not sure but then again, Im sure im wrong cuz im new to this halomods.com and anyway, I think I can't play on them because I downloaded them from halomaps.com so it is xbox only maps? Or does it work for any?

get WinRAR lol, if you have it then the file should look like a pile of books...double click it and then you have a .map file in there (occasionally a README.txt file too)

drag an drop, or something, the .map file to the HaloCE maps folder and then you should be able ot play it

Ok! Ok! I'm noob but not that noob! Lol, I already have WinRAR, I always attempt to research first before posting anything. I already posted tho but it isn't much of the help lately. I put the .map in the map folder for HaloCE but when I start the HaloCE, it detect the same file that I rename or paste in... Maybe I should sent someone a pic so they can get idea?
