Ok, this is an edit. Anyway I have really worked hard on this map all week. I will add the architecture later when the terrain is done. And trust me, it's gunna be awesome. See, bottom for pics.

Hmm... A bit bigger than sidewinder. I will draw up a layout later on (I'm in school right now) but it's got tons of tunnels and stuff. I can't find the blasted polygon counter on here tho...

your like me, peabnuts123, working on their own map but helping others....except i actually am putting myselve involved and neglecting my map...i needa stop being helpful (lol)

**as i re-read this i noticed that it could be read as in me saying that you don't help..it means that i help too much for my own good, you help plenty fine lol**

lol, im starting to neglect my map to but only because i do it with every map as i get lazy and it starts becoming nothing special and just another boring halo map, lol.

you also help a lot more than i do.
even though i am a hunter aswell, lol

lol, my map is so unique, but i get frustrated easy...lol

i jsut spent the last one and a half hours making my first handgun model...maaaaybe i'll post pics (i still have to skin it...)

and just by doing ****cry**** all it does it make it more noticeable....yea, the model is posted (btw) and it now has an update with the skin

OMG. I ALREADY KNEW THAT. The map is coming along nicely! With a history of 13 do-overs, and on the newest version I;ve had two errors. One of which still remains.

THe light bluem is icedover lake. The architecture will be put in when all of the terrain is modeled.

Can someone help? I got this error "orange error, overlapping surfaces) and when I import the wrl, and I checked the coordinates, and THE COORDINATES THE FACE/ERRORS AT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST!

These are the coordinates for one vertex of the face/error:

X: 639'2.98"
Y: -143'9.115"
Z: -1403'2.906"

My map doesn't go below Z: 0" at all and yet this error is WAY DOWN THERE! I checked the scenario object list and all that's there is my skybox and the frame!

Can someone tell me WTF IS GOING ON?!

if you import your .wrl file then it will display an orange face.

just delete that and a few around it then remake them, that should fix it

No, no, no you don't get it! Or don't I? I meant the face that appears in the wrl file DOESN'T EXIST in my map file. Or do you mean open the wrl and delete the errored face? This is weird... I will try what I just thought, I will comeback and answer if it worked or not.

dude you need to follow the kirk video tutorials and just make a test map exactly like his then when you get the basics down, go onto different designs etc...

Yeah sure you could fix it. Just tell me how to make stuff for download and I will PM it to you. Mind you the map is kinda *cough*huge**cough*. The smallest mesa is like 100 feet high. That's like 2000 generic units or something. The tallest one is 583 feet high (o.O). It would take like 300 masterchiefs to reach the top of the biggest one (a tower of masterchiefs).

EDIT: Yeah I;ve had your tutorials for a while sonic, but Like, how would I go about making a tunnel with a special wall design? Like the kind of tunnel you see on the "Assault on the control room" (triangular almost)? I saw how you made that tunnle on your "basic tunnel" tutorial, but I wanna make mine with a special design.

Did you know? One of my friends (he gets lost when I talk about modding stuff and other simple stuff :roll: :wink: ) wanted me to name this map (naughty words upcoming!)
