max2obj and obj2max

i've just downloaded these two files and have been taking models out of HMT and editing them in 3ds max 6. However, when i import the model again i get an error box that allows you to try continueing or to just quit. If i click continue nothing happens, im left with the previous model that was in HMT to begin with.
