Help With The BOOLEANS. (Making an NES as scenery)

Help With The BOOLEANS. (Making an NES as scenery)

OK I hope I got your attention with that lame topic... Anyways if your still here take a look at this pic and try to figure it out:

See how not very far in the controller ports are. I want them to be in deeper. But look in the top left see how far in they really are? I tried adding lights and every thing to see if it was just me thinking their not very deep. Heres what i did to make them. Shaped a controller port then cloned it moved them into position. Then I clicked the Shell of the NES and told it to make a union boolean. Then I Clicked pick operand b and clicked a port. It indents but not very far can you help?

It looks like there are extra tri's still there, try deleting those tri's in perspective and maybe it will be deeper.

Well i figureed them things out once. Then i undid because i didn't like it. Then it was just stupid so im scrapping this project.
