Lol, Halo CE can't skin or make weapons for you  And you CAN skin a model that doesn't have to do with Halo (Like OMG?! I never would have guessed ).

PDummy, if your wondering how to skin just a model you have created/stolen and have in your 3D Program... Then you need to get a UV map of it. If you've got 3D Studios Max, you can unwrap the UV coordinates simply by applying a "Unwrap UVW" modifier to your model. Then you just need to Flatten it (Mapping > Flatten) and fool around with the settings.. Once your done that, get Texporter and export the UV map to a image file so it can be opened in Photoshop.

More info on all of this stuff here.. Pretty lengthy tutorial on Unwrapping
http://67.15.36.49/ffa/tutorials/max/UV ... bject1.asp

And there is a specific size the Map has to be if your putting it in a game.. 256x256 or 512x512 or something.. I'm not too sure bout that though.. Never skinned for a game yet.

Getting Texporter (A 3Ds Max plugin..)

It is true though, in PC you have to have a weapon with the same ammount of vertecies/polygons/triangles, ce you can totally make a new weapon model.

OMG U R SUCH A N00B

i know that but u cant model or skin with CE that is the game u play

u have to use 3ds, or milkshape, for modeling and for skinning u have to use photoshop.

and if you make a new model for CE in order to use it online every body u play have to have the map or version of the map with that gun model u cany just use a new model. and most coustom models have more verts. than the original guns.
