help with injecting textures

ok i got a dds plugin for photoshop, edited what i wanted to(just the rocket smoke for a test), and i tried to inject it, it said it needs to be a DXT2 or 3 so i opened it in hex editor, it was already a 3 so i made it a 2 and ti still doesnt work. help plz?

resave it but as DXT1 or DXT2 or something....i have never used a hex editor for that....try just a simpel pistol solid color skin to see if it is the plugin or not

now i just switched it to DXT1 and tried it in HMT and it said file must be DXT1. *raises wtf flag*

photoshop doesnt save as DXT1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5. wanna help me out there too

the dds plugin should have a thin pop up when saving as a .dds files about that whole dxt thing

yeah i saved it asa DXT3 before. should i try DXT1 with no alpha?

ok whatever i change it to is what it asks for. i changed it to DXT1 and it asks for DXT1 i change it to DXT2 it asks for DXT2 etc. why?

BOOYA!!!!!!! i figured it out. although it needed a DXT.... i changed it to a 32 bit ARGB and for some reason (only God and computer geeks know) it worked... strange
