Need skinner for *final* map

Ok I tihnk I've finally put together a decent model, but I need someone to skin this for me.

I would do this but I don't have photoshop, don't know how to make a skin, don't even know how to put a fricking skin on it and gmax is SO confusing when it comes to applying textures...

P.S. there's also a secret sniper spot in the level, see if you can find it.

Dude, that looks awesome (tonz better than what i expected), i would suddgest some extra details, but i supposed you will use sapien or whatever to add trees and rocks ect. to fill that in.

If someone were to apply textures to it, what texture would the ground be? grass/mud/mars like texture ect. and would the orb be the covenant color?

Hmmm... well I was thinking like you said "covenant" textures which was one of my first considerations when I tried to make this map (including the rather wird ones before this) I was thinking some weir colors like the rust red in infinity or make the *myfavorite* make the landscape all shades of purple and scorch marks everywhere with flames and stuff.

HINT: the water is that grid thingy yuo see in certain parts of the map (er.. right? (it's at Z 0 right?)).

But if that doesn't work, I would settle for a regular grass/dirst scenario :roll: .

The battle orb will be all kinds of purple and the sorta same textures like inside the covie cruisers.

EDIT: oh yeah and your right I was gonna add the rest of the scenery through that population thingy. Yeah, I couldn't think of anything else to put on the map excepyt hills and 3 pond/lakes.

Good work, now time for 500. then ur hunter like me. and you really should populate the map but so far its looking awsome. And i think it would look best as a mars color that would look sweet with teh water.

Those buildings kind of look like Observatories or those buidlign with the massive microscopes in them. Oh...i mean telescopes lol sorry. (too lazy to change the word)

Great idea for a map though, and i agree, the mars texture would look really nice -perhaps borrow a similar one to doom3?-



*would the sniper spot be ontop of the massive shipy thingy? or am i looking too obvious*

I know 500, I bet I could reach dat in about oh say... 4-5 moths... <<<funny name lmfao

I just got back from tking/having a really fricking fun time.

Yeah them infinity/mars color was my original plan, but now I think I'll go with the purple and scorch marks.

The reason I wan the purple and scorch marks is because the "Story" of this map is:

The covenant battle orb landed here in this valley, ontop of the mesa in the center of the map, and partially glassed the valley with its plasma arrays. Magnetic dust was left behind from the covenants plasma coils, producing a purple groound cover.

The two bases here were setup as outposts by the remainning POA crew before the destruction of halo.

I gota make up my mind I'm starting to tihnk mars color might be best... :roll:

heres somthing, make it purple but when you leave a footprint or somthing its red. i hope you get what im saying.

AWEOSME IDEA!!! That'd be easy! And you could see invisible people to! All you would have to do it make a bullet hole and switch its meta with the walk effect or something!

Oh yeah, did I mention that I have TWO different maps? One of before I added the hills,and ramps and stuff? I might out it up for DL and let people modify it.

Ok, the purple idea would look cool i think, would the mountains also be purple rock? And are you going to put any new covenant vehicles into it ;).

Ok JUST got home from school, yeah maybe it will be purple rocker here:

I imagine the ground being purple everywhere only with black scorch and blast marks everywhere (like I said) but for hte mountains I'm thinking a light shade of purple to be the main color but have veins of darker purple everywhere you know like you see on real rocks. Or when you break open a rock you can see different layers of rock.

Did I say I might name it scorchworld?

And yeah I was planning to put some *non-standard* vehicles in the map I was thinking maybe have a crashed pelican on one hill and maybe a grached dropship in one of the lakes. But maybe not and now that you bring the possiblity of new vehicles, It's got me thinking... if anyone's got any vehicles ideas they might want in the map PM me and I'll see if I can get something new in...

And maybe some new weapons to... replace the sniper rifle with the covie carbine, and make some new ones that I won't tell you about yet.

I'll have to get some plans going, can't think of any vehicles yet but I'll start thinking...

well mabye have a phantom that would be awsome. you know, from the H2 vid where ur in the gost and those 2 ships are chasing u blah blah blah.. thats a phantom. make like a pilot seat, main gunner that shoots wraith rounds, and a co-pilot seat where you fire like the normal shade rounds at a very fast rate or at normal rate with upped power and accuracy... ithen just a couple transport seats like the warthogs side seat... what do u think?

HORAYY!! I got it to export but I exported it to listener window and once it got done, NOTHING HAPPENED! D you know what's supposed to happen once it's done scripting and writing the data? It finished but it jsut went back to normal! And when I click export as .jms file once it gets done it says "Error: create file function not activated"

So do you guys know or what;s supposed ot happen now? I'm gonna go watch kirk tuts and see if I did it right, but please help!!oneone one 11!!one :!11 :!

:EDIT: I also added something special to the map incase you "fall through" and I think I might do a little technique to prevent players and vehicles falling through.
