Hey i was following hte video tutorial and i got past everything even sapien (im acutally just doing hte tutorial map) but when i want to make the map (refernced as splinter) i couldnt understand what he typed...

is it build-cache-file levels/splinter/splinter in tool? for the .map file?

Also another weird question is how do i make a map...with no textures but still work in halo ce? I mean i want a box map with no textures such as grass or dirt but still work in halo ce....(to look like this)

I think it's:
tool build-cache-file levels\test\splinter\splinter
But I'm not sure if he saved it into test, so it might be:
tool build-cache-file levels\splinter\splinter

As for your second question, just don't make any bitmap or shader tags and you should be fine.

bitmap shader tags? is that the part after the max .jms file export? in guerilla or is that the tool.exe portion?

Oh and btw if the map already has the shader tags...is there a way to locate them and delete them and compile the map again to the .map file and still work?

And will i still be able to use sapien to import the vehicles and rocks and things?

It's after you do structure in tool, you do tool bitmap or tool bitmaps and tool shader etc....

Yeah, just go in to the level's directory right where the scenario file is and delete the shaders and bitmaps folders and it will look like the pic up there.

Yeah you will, as far as I know. I heard someone say that it makes Sapien crash, but that's never happened to me.

First try deleting JUST the bitmaps though.

Ok i think i got it but when i tried to compile the .map file i get this error

Im thinking its because the scenario is in the wrong location? but i did the tutorial folders just like it said...so did i mess up somthing? btw my map is called "video".
