Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Post by zero_cool »

i dunno if im teh only one here who would love to see some sof2 or cs maps in halo, anyone else? but i was thinking if its just possible to reverse engineer the .bsp and get it into 3ds it would be possible, what i really want is de_dust and kam2, but hey thats just me, I have been doing tons of research on this, i have found a tool to convert cs maps to a .map, but how do i open them in 3ds, any help would be appriciated.

the problem is, from what i have read, there is absolutely no way to reverse engineer the .bsp from sof2, ive started on the level "facing worlds" from the original Unreal tournament, from scratch, so well see how that turns out, knowing me, ill get bored and quit, but hey, well see.

You'd be the 3rd person to do Face...

And de_dust is being worked on, iceworld and dustworld are both made. I don't know if dustworld has been released though.

And you can convert bsp to map and then use vhe or a q2 editor to open it. But you won't be able to directly convert it to Halo. N64 maps work much better.

I imagine sof2 runs off a heavy edited q2 maybe q3 engine? If it uses .bsp there's really no problem there.
