I found two pictures off the net that I want to use and when I tried to compile them in Tool, it wouldn't do it. This is what Tool said:
### gafalon.tif
"skipping bitmaps with non-power-of-two dimensions<#468x#742#1>"
### gafalon2.tif
"skipping bitmaps with non-power-of-two dimensions<#508x#764#1>"
So how do I get these bitmaps to compile? I have Jasac Paint Shop Pro, if that is needed.
it sounds like tool won't recognize pictures that aren't 2 dimesnsions (both width and height aren't the same), which is bad news for me because nothing I have in like 100 textures is 2 dimensions. there's probably a way around it though. i don't know if i'm right about this; you definetly want a second opinion.
It needs to be to a power of two. That's how Halo generates mipmaps. So resize to the nearest power of two. So if it was 500 X 520 or something, make it 512 X 512.
that sucks! is there anyway halo will recognize anything else?! everything in my cote d'azur map is not a power of 2, and most of the textures have been overused becaus i import all my buildings
