here are images from the 3 maps I'm working on right now. tell me what you think:

what do you think? any suggestions (other than the sketchy ground textures-I know)? thanks for your input!

I really like the omaha beach one... you should talk to a guy named viper about that hed love ot see it. and the cote d azure one is awesome! i luved that part in the books.

i like cote d'azur the best. for the 3rd one u really need to add some more stuff in there to liven it up cus it looks so empty its scary. not tryig to flame, mmind you. but azur looks really good. u should talk to the mech person a cupl topics up and see if u can use one of his mechs for azur and the 3rd one. then with the beach talk to the wwII map guy alot of topics down and see if u could use his guns and stuff cus the beach looks kinda like from wwII. hope this helps you!

Omaha beach looks the best

Cote D' Azur is ok, but it looks a bit high poly if you ask me

Highlands is.......meh

i love that cote d'azur
yea the texture is much better and isnt plain like new mombasa.
the repetitive windows killed me to look at in new mombasa

the thing about the highland map is that the focal point is going to be on the trees, which of course are implemented in Sapien; this is just a render from Max6. the trees will be fairly dense, making for some interesting firefights.

glad everyone liked omaha beach; i'm a big wwII buff and it was fun to make. i still need to put in the water and fog.

on Cote D'Azur I really, really need to figure out how to make glass! I posted it as a topic with no help so far :cry: . When I have the glass, it will play an interesting part in each base (the Red Base: Museum, and Blue: UNSC HQ). Also, I'm going to scrap the glass window texture on some of the skyscrapers (tiled blue stuff) and put in glass their, so you can shoot at the building and stuff will break anywhere on it (like in Mech Assault, kind of). Anyhelp is MUCH appreciated (just post it over on the topic "GLASS".

i couldn't find the topic Glass

I don't know how to do breakable BSP but you can make most of the glass 1 type of scenery then make it destructable.

Note that skyscraper glass is really think cuz of the pressure so make it hard to break and make it like a 1 way mirror type thing like it really is.

i am a avid history channel watcher and am facinated with ww2, cant wait till omaha beach is done.

the city one looks simply amazing, and also cant wait for the final.

highland also has alot of promise.

New Mossamba fucking sucks. Terrible, terrible overhyped map. The onyl reason people followed that map was because of the name.

I think Omaha beach could use some texture work, highlands (which has heightmap written all over it) should be edited to have smoother hills, and more order to them (less random pits).

The city is great.

yea the city looks really good but a little too big but what do i know,

i also like omaha but like dispriaser said it needs to bee smoother and less pits

and the 3rd one just looks borring i hopefully you have more in mind for it but good luck anyway

THe first one looks amazing! Omaha Beach looks amazing!(And just like omaha beach out of Medel of honor Frontline, the bases and everything)

i LOVE that top one, i'm really into city maps. I'd be interested in beta testing that one. BTW, how accessible are the buildings? Say that parking garage for instance, can you go in it? anyways, it looks really well done and layed out. I really like it. Hopefully it won't have as high a polycount as NM. That way it'll play well.

Let me know if you need help with it, or beta testing.

dude new mombosa had like a poly count of 0 it is sux0r. every thing is barley skinned and just so plain. ewwwww gross.

your comp is probably craptacular. or at least your vidcard or net connection. i have an avg comp and i run nmc w/ no pprobs whatsoevr.

i won't argue that my comp is anything special. It's a damn celeron(never buy one) but what i mean, is, i run cable net and i can never get a full game because it lags so bad!
