New Mombassa is the Infinity of the Custom Maps.

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

New Mombassa is the Infinity of the Custom Maps.

It's a cool idea and it is very well done, visually, anyway. But the map itself is just too complicated, it feels HUGE. Just look at all the different possibilities in one CTF match alone. You could probably spend half an hour trying to get your flag back...

Summary: I like New Mombassa, but it just feels too big.

Good, that means it wont get boring because there are so many possibilities.

No, it means that it IS boring because there are TOO MANY possibilities. It's not fun spending ages searching for the guy with the enemy flag.

I donwloaded from the link in the gearbox forums. In the thread about New mombassa release. Then you uncompress it if its a .zip use winzip if its .rar use winrar. Then take the extracted .map and put it in you C:/program files/microsoft games/haloCE/maps folder

I did all that, it keeps rejecting it. It says something about something not installed right. It's making me mad. I'm wondering if its corrupte somehow. I got it from here.

i think its awesome, but the buildings and the multi-story parking garage things need some more texture.....they r too smooth and untextured

None of that is what bothers me, it LOOKS fine... It's just the scope of it that's baffling. You could probably spend half an hour just trying to get the damn flag back. Raise your hand if you think looking for ONE GUY in New Mombassa for half an hour would be fun.

*chirp chirp chirp*

I rest my case.
