Questions about new gun

Questions about new gun

ok i got a glock into halo (just for practice) but it had some problems with it.
1. How do u make mc hold the gun differently? I moved the marker that said cyborg left hand to the place that i wanted, but when i put it in the game he was holding it at the very bottom of the gun.

2.How do you make the gun smaller? I scaled it down in 3ds max, but when i put it in the game it wasnt any smaller.

3. How do I skin it? In the game there was no texture and it was just white, but i put a texture on it and made it into a bitmap and everything.

thanx, i forgot to make a shader. I figured out the rest but i have another question. How do u make animations in 3ds max?

also, if i wanna change the sound when the gun fires where do i put the sound file?

if you want to change the sound of a weapon, you would first need to find a new sound, then convert it to the format that the original sound file is in(original sound file meaning the sound file in halo). then go to the sounds tag and for example, you would find weapons\assault rifle\fire (or something like that) and then replace all of the sound files listed with the one you converted. if you have any questions, im, pm, email, or just post here

ok, i dont get it. I have my .weapon tag that i made and i have the .sound file that i want to be the firing sound. Where do i put the .sound file?
