Behold...I have created FIRE!

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Well, I'm not sure if you could actually use this in Halo. You may be able too...but it still looks pretty damn cool.

whoah, that looks nice, maybe you can make a new fire scenery tag for halo to replace the one they have, it would give somethingpeople with crap cards to be proud of, like me! :) btw, please tell me how to do that, and, is it animated?

Yea, its one of the many neat Dynamic effects in Maya 5!!!

I can do fireworks too! And Lightning...and smoke...And fog.... All of which are emitters, I can make them collide with things....Very nice things I can do here...:)

And yes, it is animated. I don't have a choice. The reason I didn't figure it out earlier is because I didn't ever think to press the Play button once I added the Effect to an object. It looks funky in the Perspective view, but when I click Render.... I get something like that. Very cool. Not bad for clicking 2 buttons.

Isn't it funny that Gearbox doesn't support Maya?? Oh well, Halo won't install on my computer anymore...:(

pretty neat, i wish it were compatible with halo. some one needs to make/find a file translator to get files from maya to 3ds and back

I already have a Maya - 3ds Exporter...but I don't think it works...I think it's a Max 6 exporter, but I don't have Max 6.

Wait, I just looked at it... It's a 3ds IMPORT. So Yea... And I tried to start it, it's for an older version of Maya and won't work...:( But I could always export as OBJ's...or DXF's...
