lol i never thought i'd see so little said by katarn about a model! i think it's not smoothed, but it's pretty good :)

short and sweet always seems to work, but, i'm going to have to help more. select all the faces on the back of the grip and put it as smoothing group 1. You have 3 smoothing groups on the back, 1 for each column of quads. You also used too many segments on the basic shape of the grip, once it's smoothed, it will look the same with reduced performance. The clip also doesn't need that intrusion, that's a waste of polygons and makes your mesh messy. The intrusion on the barrel, is the wasting of pollies also. The barrel has too many segments, keep it at 8-12 sides for barrel cylinders, and 6-8 for any other cylinders you'd come to need (with the exception of a bolt). If you were to send me the max files, i'd be able to point out more errors.
