Naw man, the only way it would be dumb....and not really, Is if they released this map after nov.9th. Then I could see a little criticism comming their way.
what the heck is up with you guys about making a halo 2 map before it actually comes out or dont make it at all. i mean, seriously. a halo 2 map for halo pc would still be friggin awsome even if they made it 2 years after it came out. alot of the people here at halomods has a ps2. they would probably DIE for a halo 2 map. I think you guys need to chill.

i downloaded the leak. do i care? no. why? i have not joined a server.. in fact, i dont htink ive joined a server on any map in weeks. i was eager to see the developmental process of the map, and see how it progresses. i myself am planning on entering a graduate school that has a wonderful modelling class... so i am interested in how others might go about designing. so really i got the leak for my own educational purposes. oh and some people say that now i might think its crap cuz i didnt see the finished product. well, being a mapper myself, i know how maps change and get better a lot right before release. and personally, i think it is a well made map. i noticed some lag problems, but that is probably due to the amount of stuff present in the map. sure i could have waited until the final release of the map, but it would not have been as effective in helping me understand the map and how it was made.
what i dont understand is how someone can get the mindset that this is a huge catastrophy. i think that maybe if the few that had leaked the map in the first place had been dealt with effectively, this might not be suck an issure right now. but for those still working on the map, i respect you. i mean, they see a bunch of inexperienced people with an unfinished product of theirs judging the final version on what was only temporary. well, im sure that most of the mature, responsible people here on halomods will see all of this in the right light and be able to receive the finished version and be able to compare it to older versions and see the work that has gone into it.
well... really what i think it boils down to, is that there are a lot of immature people around here who need to wake up and maybe go outside or something. i use this map for educational purposes, and not to make people mad or to become a trouble maker. i have a lot of respect for the team making this map, and i hope that they are not affected by all of this too much
