Cant Move all vertexes in UVW Map Edit (Unwrap UVW)

Hey Halo modders, I'm new to the community and just started using 3DSMAX to make maps. I've been following kirks tutorials but I cant get the Unwrap UVW to work properly.
Heres what I did:
After following kirks tutorials I got to a point where I added the unwrap UVW modifier, but when I try to edit the UVW I can only select some of the vertexes to move them. Here is a screenshot that shows my configuration and everything else.

I didnt want to throw the picture up for 56k'ers sake plus it resizes the window. "No sir, I dont like it" (Ren and stimpy, talking horse)

Any Ideas on how I would be able to select all the vertexes for editing in Unwrap UVW edit mode?

Well, I got it to work, I re-applyed the uvw map and started the texture process from scratch and it worked this time, using the fit option screwed it up.

this was your problem, you already had faces selected before from editable mesh modifier.
even in the screenshot i can tell that, look at the viewport.
