?How do I mod skins with dds files?

I downloaded a few skin mods from this site, and I used the HHTs to install the ppf files, but some of the files were dds files, and I don't know what to do with them.

omfg. I see so many ?'s like this every week. I'm not gunna be mean to the noob, but search b4 u post.

Lets say u want to apply a .dds mod/skin for a warthog.
Open up a map that has a warthog in it(almost any level) in HMT
open up the bitmaps tag
find the warthog
select import texture
find ur .dds file and double click it
save and enjoy
