Here's my new G36C model I finished yesterday, it's still not completely done. this is my first model so it really isn't that great.

total vertices: 3603
total faces: 6264

Yeah, it's flat and it has almost no detail. And you need to learn some poly consumption.

Yeah i know, it's still a work in progress this is just the basic model. I'm hoping to get a better version done in a week or two.

Overall it looks decent, but I don't like how some parts of it are high-poly (i.e. the clip), and other parts are low-poly (i.e. the trigger). This makes it so that there are a lot of wasted polys.

The clip is low-poly and the trigger is high-poly.

Way too high poly for the level of detail you have on there, but at least you seem to have got the general shape right.

the sight does not need so many segments a 12 sided 1 segment cylinder would do fine.
