Tools Needed
DXTBmp-you can find DXTBmp here :http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/pr ... dxtbmp.htm
Paint(lol)

1) open desired skin (i chose Marine helmet HUD)
Image
2)Double click the Alpha pic (Top Right)
Image
3)Edit what u like out of it ( i made it broken)
Image
4)save it to your Desktop(or an easy place to find it)
and load it up in DXTBmp.
Image
5)then save it , then inject it into a Map
Image

The finished product should be a marine with a broken HUD piece,
u can apply this method to other skins and make some really captivating skins :D

ok heres an ingame pic, not very clear but it shows
Image
as u can see its transparent , and u can see the eye (not very clearly though

to be honest it could be DXT 1. coz if you really wanna test this, get the moon outta bloodgulch and you will see theres a blue square around it, well if you reskin the moon, and add the alpha of a black circle you will see the moon on its own.
