Color of charged plasma pistol projectile?

How do you change it? I feel like a noob...and yes i've searched but how do you change the color from green to say black? Is it a bitmap or something else?

i think its in the bitmaps tag, maybe under the plasma pistol part?

then you gotta go to the light tag, and find the plasma pistol, and then mess around with thecolors. R G B

yea thats the right way, i turned my to red, but at first i just tried editing .dds textures and it just turnd the contrail red
