question about textures

i made a texture for the scorpion but there is this other texture over it, i have a pic that shows what im talking about. anyway i want to get rid of it.

try editing the scorpion multipurpose .dds

if nto something for something glass or something. those 2 textures are merged i believe. oh and if u edit. the multi must be saved as dxt3. maybe u can use it to your advantage too. edit it a way you like and u might get a nice result like me and my banshee that i dont release.

i edited multipurpose and that crap is still there. with the banshee there is a seperate texture called "detail banshee1.dds" or something like that.

ok heres something else the ghost uses the banshees detail and cubemap. maybe the tank uses the hogs detail and cubemap if ti has one.

if not the problem is the tank stretches your skin leaving cracks in it. but try what i told you just now.

I thinkn that it has no possible way at the moment to get rid of it.

Sorry to break the news to ya but youd have to Completely make a new Template(same H x W) and just use ah, lets say completely brown skin.

thats a texture map used for the tank hog and mc, the easiest way to get rid of it is to get aht bitmap and just totally paint over it but this will then effect the hog and maybe mc too, doing what makayo said i dont believe will work because even if u have the opacity to the highest on the tank bitmap halo still makes it transparent for the texture to show through.
