there is for 3ds max though. you can find it on KaZaA, although, I must warn you, the installation won't be so easy. PM me and I'll tell you the directions.

THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF GMAX!?!?!
I know a beautiful program called ac3d. but only the full version can open objs.
