need help makin a model!!

can someone help me or tell me how to start making a model of an MP5A2 using maya 5.0PLE then, after i get it down i can make it with some other program.

i meant to say MP5A2 sorry (the one with the M16 like stock)

for a begginer the best way is to poly model, ill look for a simple tutorial on the basics of it for u, just search in google for maya poly modeling tut if i forget.
