Texture problems related to the geometry of the object.

Texture problems related to the geometry of the object.

I'm having a problem with texturing *i think this is the right spot, but if not plz move this*. It seems that vertical or near vertical faces are getting very streaky textures in Sapian and Halo CE. When I view the level from above the textures are completely "flat" and looks like it was just a plainer UVW map, but its a box with the Z alignment selected. I am using Gmax and Chimp 1.6. *I have an awsome gpx card, ATI X600 AIW, believe; and halo looks awsome*


And just to add, I can not seem to texture any bases I make, the walls are also streaky *figures*, or non existant. I think the streaks on the bases are the stupid micro map, which would make the walls bare anywase.

use a box UVW map

Always use it.If its to big and ugly well use tiling at the bottom.It doesn't look that nice but some texture support tiling and look preety good.Otherwise i would always use Unwrap and make a Unwrap map and paint it.

well, i already have it as a box uvw but it is streaky on vertical/near vertical faces.

also I have a few other textures no but none of them are showing up properly... either streaky or jsut the micro-detail map showing
