Im new to skinning and just learned how to do it. I tried to give the wart on BG chrome rims but it didnt turn out so well. so I just got rid of the map & put in my backup map. the only problem was the bitmap somehow saved to my backup too. infact it saved to all of my maps!!!!! WHAT DID I DO WRONG, I HAD TO REINSTALL THE DAMN GAME!

Yeah, when you save a skin to one map, it is also saved to the Bitmaps.map for some reason.

Bitmaps.map is used by all the other map files. That is where the bitmaps for ALL the maps are stored. When using HMT3, it automatically opens bitmaps.map for you whenever you open another map, though it doesn't let you know that. Moral of the story: backup your entire Maps folder next time.

yay but the strange thing is I did backup my whole maps folder. its ok though ill just make backup bitmaps
