Bridge tool?
Does 3ds max7 have a tool called bridge or something, that would allow you to connect two tunnels? Like say you had two boxs across from each other, and you wanted them to be one box. Is there a tool that would do that, instead of having to delete the oppsoing faces, and create new ones to make em whole?

That would be a cool tool. I have no idea if you can do that, but what I would probably end up doing is using boolean to make the circles on the sides of the skyboxes perfect (Using spheres) and then I would probably make a cylinder and attach the 2 boxes and the cylinder together. Then I would click create under editable mesh, and attach the cylinder to the boxes, so the level is perfectly sealed.
There might be another way to do this, but thats how I would go about doing it.

Lol You confuse me lol. What I do is attach the two boxes, delete the two faces of the bx's sides facing each other, then createpolygons connecting the opposing vertices. Perfect. A bridge tool would really help in tunnel making. 3ds max needs SOOO many more tools... I got like 50 of em discreet should put in it...

Nah, we should create a brainstorm topic for potential tools, and then:
A. send em to discreet for the next max title
or
B. make em ourselves.
Hey I am having this problem, I create a polygon in max, and for some reason, I get an error. the polygon that should be sealing off it's side right next to it, doesn't seal it off! It just stays open!! There would be like two edges there, instead of one edge from the two poly's! Anyone know what is happening?

sometimes it comes out messed up, especially if the models are complex, but using the connect tool does exactly what u are trying to do. what to do is click on an object, go to compound objects, click connect, then click where it says pick operand and click what u want to 'bridge.' other than that, the only other way i know of is manually by extruding faces and welding verts.
Inappropriate signature content.

I was wondering the same thing.SunnySharma wrote:What the hell are you talking about?Patrickssj6 wrote:you can't weld in haloce worlds at my experience
I think he means that you can't have 2 boxes connected, but as long as they are connected I don't see why not...
Even if they aren't connected, it should still work.....
