[XBOX]'s TerrorSnow, a map of weird origin.

usually when sapien closes like that it is a visual error, like a shader bug or something, or lightmaps, something like that.

also if ur making new weapon or vehi's and u remove a weapons currently in ur map from the globals tag it does that.

check to see if ur models are linked to their corresponding shaders and that shaders are linked to a bitmap.

check ur globals file, and see if theres something wrong with it.

open up ur scenario in geurilla to see if uve got some funky* scenery in there or something like that, and remove it if needed (* crapped up)

even if ur new speaker.scenery isnt in the mapfile it will die if the scenery is funked up

is worst comes to worst, delete the most current thing u did b4 the error.


and also axeman, you say tyhe walls not the bsp... what do u think the walls are part of?

Thanks for the tip, I didn't read it :(
But I found out it was that when this error came talking about a bitmaps that was never made in the history of the computer :o
The beta I wanna send to people is gonna be different then the one I got now....
The one I'ma send is gonna have the new scenery.
EDIT: I keep on getting this error.
I do it the same exact way I always did that always work until now.

well go into levels/test and look for snipercity

alos if you read it it says windowsbanner1 which is probably the windows logo on your map that the other guy was saying to get rid of.

if there is no windows banner then that is probably your problem, you deleted or somthing else, try running bitmaps for you data/levels/test/whateveryourmapnameis/bitmaps folder and then try.

It's not that, it's doesn't seem to have the power of 2d:

How do I give it the "2d" power?
Can't do it through the tag itself.
NVM I got it, but now how do you save an image without a resolution?
Photoshop won't remove it, nor paint or image ready and I don't got psp.

I made new base models.
These will be the true base model.

BTW: There is a lttle part on top of it, where those lasers will go.
But I forgot about it so you'll only get in-game shots of it.
And does anybody know how to make a custom texture that works? I get the error about it saying it doesn't have the two demesion power so it skipps making that bitmaps file which means I can't compile it until I get them to work but I don't know how to make it work in tool. Please help!!!
And the base is off smoothing groups on purpose, because then it looks like S.H.I.T.

Man, [xbox] BigAfair, I remember when you used to model and make awesome maps all the time. Awesome map man. But please, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!! Make that ground less flat, and get rid of all those dam red and blue base symbols! They are annoying as hell to look at! Especially those red arrows on the blocks that go up. Friggin make the walls and floor less flat ok?

I'm assuming those textures (at least some onf them) are temporary, O.o

remember it just a beta and he sez he is trying to make custom textures but they arent wrkin. did he used to make maps all the time? gimme an example plees.

Thanks for the feedback.
And I made somewhat alot of maps in april.
But those were april worth, they were good but SOMEBODY who was supposed to keep my models when I had to reformatt destroyed them.
And 117 is right.
Just a beta I'm taking everyone's critism into considaeration and execute the most useful ones.
But IDK bout that signs thing.
It was gonna be like a crazy long ctf map but I wanna make it so when you got the flag you have more health (sounds impossible) And those are the flag builds and some are just nuetral zones.

UPDATE I just replaced two textures and their still temp.

Woah, you people that wanna play this are gonna need a faster computer.
I'm only gonna do one last version which is the final with the suggestions.
I don't know when I'm gonna start it but I'm getting problems since my cpu ain't so good.
I might need somebody to get the screenshots for me, I hope someone would and could.

I might redo this map so it's not much of a busted city.
They was some disorting I made but I'm should just give the files away since I don't need it (Except for the teleporter and the textures)
