Nitrousoxides Halo 2 mod for Halo PC now undercontrol of...

Since Nitro is workin on the Halo 2 for Halo CE, he decided to give me control over the Halo PC mod.

I have passed on the rights to the Halo PC version of my Halo 2 mod to LjBado, and he has released version 5.5 of the mod. It's pretty kickass, while it changes a few things around, it keeps the same good 'ol feel of the previous versions. No, do not get worried, this isn't the New Mombasa Halo 2 for Halo CE I'm talking about. I'm still all over that like stink on sh...err....should you check it out? Yes you should!

Anyway, I released a version 5.5, and later version 5.51. Both had horrible balance issues, and I admit, it wasnt the best mod ever. Anyway, I have assembled a team. This team does everything with me from models to sounds. v5.9 is almost ready for a BETA release, where if errors are found, people can report them. v6.0 however will be a totaly revamped Nitrousoxide mod, with only Sounds, a few bitmaps, and a model or 2 remaining from v5.3.

Heh, I've had this same problem. I got no clue why the pics dont show up...

wow, I thot it was just me since not many people like me :lol: anyway, most of the pics are up in the pictures section. 5.51 was ok, 5.9 will kick its ass. and 6.0 will make it look like a joke.

Here is an update for v6:
Halo 2 Mod version 6, what will be new: (all are subject to change)
1) New BR model and skin.
2) New Carbine model and skin.
3) Energy Sword!
4) Halo 2 UI
5) SP missions included: Halo, T&R, AotCR, Keyes, and Two Betrayals. This is because the Sniper is not available in other maps, updated v5.9 ppfs will come out for missing SP missions.
6) Forest Gulch, Cruisers, and Tunnels of Halo.
7) Edited AI for campaign, along with Actvr modifications.
8) Elite Playability in maps: Hang em High, Rat Race, and Axem's Halo 2 Infinity. Ratrace and Hang em High are completed, Axem is having trouble with infinity.
9) New Pelican skin.
10)New SMG model and skin.
11) 2 seperate packages: SP and MP
SP- Will have edited AI, all new weps,selected maps, and Carbine.
MP- Will have Gauss Hog, Turrets, all new weps, all maps, energy sword, and carbine.
12- Halo 2 Health bar.

What I want that isnt done yet:
1) Something cool to replace the AR (besides the BR). Status: Looking
2) Warthog Skin. Status:Unsure, but being worked on.
3) New Needler Sounds. Status: Very close to finish.

You should create a halo2 level doin a s-p conversion. Then just add halo2'ish stuff in there. lol

The reason for that is because it is disabled in some forums...but i dunno why though... :?:

What were thinking of doing is converting the outside of SC, and retexturing it too look Zanzibary. We would alter it so gameplay resembles what was seen at e3 (1 way for vehicles to get in, other ways for people, hidden energy sword, etc). Playable marines was thought about, then dropped since marines are teh sux0rs. Playable elites is cool tho, and we posted a few pics of the early BETA at our forums (if I didnt say it b4 www.gruntythirstmods.tk).

uhhhhh no.... because when you use the image tag it downloads it from there and has absolutely nothing to do with gren's bandwith (im 99.9% sure of that) and maybe you shouldnt have it capitalized (i dunno if that affects it) but at least make sure you dont have disable BBCode in this post checked

yes. hotlinking costs Gren no bandwidth. it costs the site you're hotlinking it off of.

Ok, I checked, I didnt have my BBCode disabled, and I tryed it with lower case and it still didnt work.

Anyway, about the mod, 5.9 public beta is almost done, a few maps to go, a few bitmaps to fix and then release. The new MP flags are pretty cool, the edited HUD istn too noticeable, but adds effect. A lot of the new things wont be seen in v5.9 however, Im saving all the big guns for 6.0 :lol:

I figured out the problem, JPG... just doesn't display anymore. Upload it as .PNG, then it should work.

ah, I see. Thanks, but I'm busy so I wont be able to convert them now. All pics can be seen in the pictures section of files.halomods
