Halo 3 Release Date Announced

Gamestop has just announced that Halo 3 will be released on November 1st, 2007 (11/01/2007) and will come in 3 editions - standard, collectors, and legendary edition. They will cost $60, $70, and $100 respectively. Legendary edition will include all the special editions bonuses, plus a replica of master chief's helmet.
Pre-orders start on this Wednesday (11/01/2006, Exactly 1 year prior to release).

(It does not mention pre-orders on the site. I got a call from Gamestop regarding the announcement and pre-orders. I don't know how I got on Gamestop's Halo call list, but I don't care. I think they called everyone who pre-ordered Halo 2)

I'm just mad that I live in a small town with no games stores. I have to buy my stuff in a neighboring city, and I don't have time to go today - I'm going to see if I can pre-order via phone.

I'm surprised they didn't set the release date for 7/7/07. Although they'd never thoroughly complete the game by then.

personally, i believe that the date is a bullshit estimate.

We will only know for almost 100% sure when bungie tells us themselves.

Hopefully the Legendary edition isn't too expensive in NZ, and that they actually convert it right... unlike the wii...

...500 bucks!
