This is really just a suggestion. I won't petitionamagize this one, considering the only problem is bandwidth, really. So it's completely up to Gren. So let's all walk down to the IRC channel and have a chat with the man upstairs, shall we?

Anyway, if you noticed, there's a whole lotta spam gushing through the forums. Most of it is irrelevant. For instance, this topic: EvilPickel's game making expedition, starts out talking about his wanting to make a game, then goes to whether 2d games are good or not, then age discrimination, then to the presidential election. The point is, it would help tons if we just had a simple forum where we can post topics that are offtopic to Halo. And have it not be postcount-effecting.

The IRC channel is really for that, but most people here don't like IRC or can't figure it out. Not to mention the ops/hops there aren't friendly at all (from what I've heard) and I know that the regulars definately aren't.

Not to mention it'd help a lot to pull the community together. The only way to show any personality here is to either spam or go offtopic. Or make sigs. So pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease, give us a new forum. It'll be great.

Thats what ive been saying. Now people can spam, and not go up cause of it. I think there should be a new forum. Finaly someone agrees with me lol

this is a rele cool idea, and another thing too. ya know on each forum with this user forum theres a least 10 pages of topics. I was thinking why not introduce a 5-page limit type thing. Each forum(eg: sig testing) has 5 pages and pages after that are deleted. Only important topics might be kept etc but ther rest...no one ever looks at it.

That's not really true. It'd overall hurt the search thing, which people are already bad about doing.

You know this might be possible if...

People would help gren out and click a few of the ads on the front page!

I always do. Just don't over click them or they ban your ip (the ads site) and you won't count anymore. Just click one or two a day,
