Ever notice the difference between the view in the xbox and pc versions?
Here's a nifty program that hacks the FOV (field of view).
What was Bungie thinking when they set the default to 70 degrees (supposed to be 90 degrees)
BEFORE: - awful tunnelvision - 70 degrees of horsesh!t
AFTER: - that's a beautiful gun! It's the view we all remember from the xbox. This view makes you so much better, trust me.
WINDOW- it has to be running in the background
HOW TO USE:
Works for halo 1.04-5
place in halo folder: usually C:\program files\microsoft games\halo
start up haloFOV and then halo
during gameplay, press * to activate and / to disable
press + and - to adjust
WHERE TO GET IT:
click here to get it, SCROLL DOWN TO FIND HALO

meh, i like 70 better, less fish-eye like. Besides, if it were truly 90 he would be looking through his skull and part of his helmet to see out at the edges, top, and bottom.... oh well. good find.

which i find really funny because the engines are designed to scale everything so they look normal at that FOV, which defeates the purpose of having that FOv because it narrows the FOV a bit when it does that.

it's not about scaling the objects to suit the 70 degrees.
i ALWAYS felt tunneled in when i played regardless of the scaling.
i like having the 90 degrees and it feels a whole lot better.

I dont have it becuase I never needed it so far... I cant play HPC online, just HCE *cough* cracked version *cough*
so ya... gonna install now 1.04

i can contact them and see if they're willing to make it for ce.

hehe... my olny use for halo pc is is is umm... oops sorry... nothing
halo x-box is what i play sp on and multiplayer goes to halo ce

*agrees* MP is better on CE (duh), but SP can look like s*** on PCs that play MP well...
