Their have been rumours, and several confirmed reports of being able to Hijack vehicles in halo 2 which we saw with a ghost in New Mombasa- just wondering what people think would the coolest way to hijack a vehicle in halo 2.

Personally, i think mc should flip open the tank hatch, punch the dude, and throw him onto the ground in front of the scorpion although i am sure someone can think of something better.

Anyone also have any new news or screenshots concerning this topic? if so please post.

It's definately not a rumour. In fact it's pretty old already. It was in the E3 2004 multiplayer demo. Most seemed to involve kicking people.

i talked about that in there if you read closely, and anyway when i said rumours i meant before the video.
anyway this isn't about perfect term usage, i just think that hijacking is a cool idea and i was wondering if anyone would like to expand on this.

Well the New Mombassa vid is different then the multiplayer e3 demo...

Anyway, I don't think that it'll come into play too often, considering you have to be going pretty slow to be hijacked. I figure that the tank will be a little different looking considering the hijacking animation would be incredibly long, unless they made it an automatic kill to do it. Warthogs should be fun. I'm wondering what would happen if you tried to hijack a banshee? (if they're implemented in multiplayer)

actually its possible to hijack a ghost while its boosting i have seen it done in a mutiplayer ctf beta testing vid for zanzibar but it must be VERY hard and they were pros

I heard someone knows how Master Cheif and THe Elite can hyjack a Banshee I found it in Gearbox fourms about the ATV hyjack but then they went off topic and said about the Banshee so look around the Gearbox fourms to find it somewhere I dont remember the topic name but I know its there oh yeah speaking of Halo 2 this is a rumour found in the OXM that the ATV the Human answer to the ghost has been canceled dont know why but they did I hope its not true sorry if thats old news.Just Telling

i think if they tried to hijack a banshee you jump on a wing and pull the guy out by his feet lol

Hijacking a banshee would be pretty damn hard lol...i guess if you can pull teamates out it would be good and bad....good because you can pull a noob out of the driver seat of a warthog when they are just sitting there....and bad because noobs will randomly pull you out lol


i like edwins version of the hog-jack the most lol

I think it would be really cool if, by just hitting the action button, you could steal someone's weapon from them and shoot them in the face with it, or bash them with it. That would be really funny and awesome.

yea that would be pretty hard cos usually the kind of people who you dont want to have guns are also the kind of people that are shooting you with guns....

as for that kind of thing, it would be all to great if you had to take a ~5 minute test when buying a game such as halo (2) to see if you were a noob, and if you failed, your serial # was added to a 'n00b' list, and hosts of games could just choose to block them all or certain ones. this does pose some problems though... such as the noobs complaining about not getting on any servers...

I dont know if any ones knows this but , i just read on the official xobx mag that you can jack banshees and tanks and the wa y you jack tanks are awesome mc jumps on the cocpit lobs a nade in to the cocpit.

well he probably rips open the hatch but he wouldnt lobe a nade in cus that would waste and be kinds stupid.. what is u had no nades?

ayways, im gonna post a pic of what the MC should be able to do.

if he had no nades he obviously cant hijack. you would probably hog onto the banshee to find out there are no grenades and then you fall off and die

-yeah, the real way mc will highjack a tank (wraith and scorpian) is, mc will open the hatch, throw a nade on the guys face, step to the side, then sit in the blood-covered cockpit
-then, i think the koolest highjacking will be the banshee, mc grabs the guys legs and pulls him out, killing him instantly, then taking it for himself
