Actually, if you read the weekly updates, it sounds like they are just starting. They spent the last 2 years making the software, and only now are they putting it together. Thats a good thing. And no, they did make a demo for Halo PC.

in halo2, they should have a small, fast, covenant dropship, not like the ones they already have, but smaller, carrying only three ppl(including driver) to be used in mp to quickly drop off ppl at an enemy base

not melee combat, just combos. as in how he melees varies a little. there're probably like 4 different ways.
